How do I add the WishPoint widget to my theme?

Go to your Shopify Admin → Online Store → Themes → Customize. In the App Embeds tab, toggle on 'WishPoint Floating Widget'. For the product-page wishlist button, open a product template and add the 'WishPoint Wishlist Button' app block.

Question 2

The widget isn't showing on my storefront. What do I do?

Accepted Answer

First, check that the App Embed is enabled in your theme editor (not just the app block). Then verify that WishPoint is active in your Shopify admin. If you're using a custom theme, ensure it supports Online Store 2.0.

Question 3

Can I customise the widget colours?

Accepted Answer

Yes. In WishPoint's Settings → Storefront Settings, you can set a custom brand colour, choose from 7 widget styles, and select light, dark, or auto colour scheme.

How are points calculated?

Accepted Answer

Points are awarded based on the order subtotal and your configured Earn rate (points per $1 spent). Reward value is controlled separately by your Redeem rate (points = $1 reward value). You can optionally exclude shipping from the calculation, and set up bonus campaigns for multiplied earning during promotions.

A customer's points aren't showing up after a purchase.

Accepted Answer

Points are awarded after Shopify marks the order as paid and the order has an identified customer. WishPoint listens for paid order events and skips unpaid or guest orders. If a customer placed an order through an unusual custom flow, contact support and we'll investigate.

Question 6

How do customers redeem their points?

Accepted Answer

When a customer reaches 100% of their wishlist goal, WishPoint automatically generates a unique discount code and sends it via email. The customer can apply it at checkout. You can also enable partial redemption in Settings to allow customers to redeem before reaching 100%.

Question 7

Where is my billing managed?

Accepted Answer

Free is $0. Pro is $19 monthly or $190 yearly with a 14-day trial. Shopify hosts plan selection and shows the billing terms before you approve a charge; paid access is enabled after WishPoint verifies the subscription.

Question 8

How do I change or cancel Pro?

Accepted Answer

Open Plans inside WishPoint and choose Manage plan to continue to Shopify's hosted pricing page. Existing participants and goals are not deleted after a downgrade; Free limits and effective settings apply when the Pro subscription ends.

Question 9

How do I request customer data deletion?

Accepted Answer

Email us at support@wishpoint.app with your shop domain and the customer's email address. We'll process the deletion within 30 days. Shopify GDPR webhooks also trigger automatic deletion when customers submit requests through Shopify's data access portals.

Question 10

Does WishPoint access my store password?

Accepted Answer

No. WishPoint uses Shopify's OAuth flow to request specific, limited API scopes. We never see or store your Shopify admin password.
